Overview

  • SoStocked was developed by experienced Amazon sellers to help other sellers scale profitably.
  • Designed for inventory management and forecasting—forecast up to 12 months ahead.
  • Focuses on preventing stockouts, overstock, and Amazon fee surprises.
  • Uses customizable forecasting logic considering velocity, seasonality, lead times, buffers, promotions, and demand planning.
  • Goal: eliminate spreadsheet chaos with clear visual planning and automation tools.

Command Center (Home Page)

  • Acts as the “dashboard” or health pulse check for your Amazon business.
  • Displays key metrics such as:
    • Potential overstock or aged inventory fees based on Amazon’s fee policy.
    • Inventory at risk of stocking out.
    • Products needing new orders or warehouse transfers (3PL or AWD).
  • Built-in tutorials available for each widget.

Forecast Page

  • Displays sales charts for the past 12 months and forward-looking forecasts.
  • Shows an inventory timeline mapping expected inventory flows day-by-day.
  • Incorporates seasonality adjustments, demand spikes, and custom planning.
  • Integrates automatically with Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) to track real-time inventory levels and inbound shipments.

Lead Time Setup

  • Define custom lead times for each product or group.
  • Configurable by supplier, brand, marketplace, or product tags.
  • Maps full supply chain journey—from production to FBA—to maintain awareness of order status.
  • Lead time directly influences order and transfer schedule recommendations.

Order & Transfer Scheduling

  • Uses as-needed ordering instead of fixed intervals.
    • Default settings: 35 days minimum / 90 days maximum supply window.
    • Keeps inventory above Amazon’s 28-day minimum threshold but below 3 months.
  • Automatically factors in lead times to recommend purchase orders (POs) or transfers.
  • Transfer schedules can be set as weekly, monthly, or fully custom intervals.

Velocity Settings

  • Four main velocity types to choose from:
    1. 30-day average (default) – ideal for stable products.
    2. Manual velocity – for new launches or custom sales projections.
    3. Last year’s sales – mirrors daily/weekly/monthly patterns from the prior year.
    4. Demand plan upload – allows manual Excel import of expected 52-week demand.

Advanced Forecast Modeling

  • Combo Forecasting: blends multiple velocity types with custom date-based overrides.
    • Example: override “last year’s sales” with “adjusted velocity” during a listing suspension.
    • Option to repeat or apply one-time seasonal overrides.
  • Add growth trends (e.g., +25% YoY) or compare time-based trends (e.g., 60-day vs. prior 60-day).
  • Best for new product launches, Prime Day prep, or limited historical data cases.

Purchase Orders & Order Tracker

  • Generates auto-filled purchase orders based on forecast recommendations.
  • Select default or backup lead times per order.
  • Send PO emails directly to suppliers from the dashboard.
  • Track all POs through lead time stages: production, transit, warehouse, or FBA check-in.
  • Option to pause, delay, or edit shipments in progress.

Inventory Page & Custom Dashboards

  • Fully customizable dashboards and column views for deeper reporting.
  • Default dashboards include:
    • Inventory on hand (by stage).
    • Low inventory alerts.
    • Stockout risk monitor (predicts potential stockouts and inbound resolution timing).
    • Overstock/Aged Fees report – forecasts potential long-term storage costs using your forecast timeline.
  • Provides actionable visibility into upcoming fees or risks so sellers can act early.
